Youth Education

Youth Education is a cornerstone of who we are and what we do. The future of our organization depends on todays youth having an interest in habitat, the wildlife that live there and how to preserve it. Our goal is to invest in the youth and grow their love of the outdoors so they will invest in us as they get older. Without that investment all the projects that we hope to do in the future will be put on hold.

Scholarships

Every year we offer a $1500 scholarship to local students that are majoring wildlife management, biology or a wildlife conservation related field.

GSL Trap Team

We donate towards the GSL trap team to help keep participation costs low.

Lester Prairie Trap Team

We donate towards the LP trap team to help keep the cost of participation low.

Wolf Ridge

1st Lutheran Students from Glencoe, MN attend Wolf Ridge Environmental Learning Center. A hands on, immersive outdoor program.

Firearm Safety Guns

In 2023 we donated .22 rifles to a local gun safety instructor so multiple students could do the skills test at once, making the class run more efficiently.

Centennial Fishing League

MFWA helped cover the expenses of traveling to nationals.
